Coughing, coughing and more (you guessed it) coughing.

So, yeah, I've done a lot of coughing recently, basically because I've come done with a rather bad cold which has made me burn up, feel tired, cough, sneeze, and bring up phlegm. Nice.

Later today I plan to get an appointment with my doctor (well book one anyway) and hopefully I'll get some antibiotics, 'cause I sure do need some.

Also, after this illness has passed, I have got an idea to do a sketch of Sue Perkins as Princess Alexandra of Denmark from the photo she posted of herself on yfrog. And just to prove it to you that she really did dress up as this princess, here's the pic:

And doesn't she look lovely?
And also, what you may have not noticed, is that behind her to the right, is the door to the gentlemen's toilets. (How classy!)
And what was she doing there? That's what I'd like to know.

All I know for sure is that she makes a great princess, or at least she sure looks like one, although in the 'French Revolution' episode of 'The Supersizers Eat...' she wasn't that great at walking like a queen, or was it gliding? Yep, that was it, GLIDING. Which she failed at, miserably, and ended up falling over. But the main thing is she tried, right?

Anyway, that's enough of me going on about 'Supersizers', as you know I love to. The whole point of me showing you that picture was to show you what I'm planning of drawing in the near future. And when I get better, and get around to drawing her (Sue) I'll post the photo of the sketch onto Twitpic, and put it on this blog for you all to see, and I really hope you all like it (which seems a bit premature, seeing as I haven't even drawn it yet) .

So, see you all soon, hopefully when I've drawn Sue Perkins.

Bye for now, Ss1!

Memories, Memories, Memories...

We all have good memories, (and bad of course) and last night really got me thinking about the good times in my life. Especially the times spent with friends, going to memorable places and meeting celebrities.

You see, last night I decided to dig out my old mobile phone and have a look at what I had stored in it from years ago, and what I found really put a smile on my face.

First of all, I looked through all my old songs that I'd downloaded, including ones I'd made up myself using an old game I'd bought. Then, I looked at old photos I'd/other people had taken. This included one of me and my best friend smiling, looking really happy outside this place we'd visited. Also there were a few photos of us at Madame Tussauds: one of us with Ant and Dec, another with The Beatles, and a few of me with some really well known singers like Christina Aguilera, Beyonce, and J.Lo. And my most treasured picture on my phone was one of me and (the real) Catherine Tate outside a theatre after me and a companion of mine had seen her in the play 'Under The Blue Sky', which also starred Chris O'Dowd (from 'The IT Crowd') who we also met!

This also got me thinking today of all the other celebrities I've met over the years, like most recently Sue Perkins (in February) and Giles Coren (in October of last year). But also: Mel Giedroyc, Lenny Henry, Joanna Lumley, Pauline Quirke, Nicholas Hoult (who I also met when I met Mel). And a few others too. This makes me feel really lucky to of met them, and also because they are people I admire, and have done for years, especially Mel, Sue and Giles.

Also, what really makes me happy is when they give you a hug. Especially if they mean a lot to you, like: Mel, Nicholas, Sue and Giles. And the more I think about it, the more it seems right. Because, if these people mean so much to you, getting a hug from them means a lot too, and makes you feel closer to them and like they've known you forever.

And that to me, is much more important than just getting an autograph. Yes, an autograph does last forever, but you only ever get to live the moment of meeting them the once (usually) so it's best to make it count, and memories last forever too, especially the best ones.

And whether your best memories are of going out with your friends, time spent with your family, travelling to new and exciting places, or meeting celebrities (like me), they should all be treasured, and occasionally it's nice to remind yourself of them, and bring them back to life.

And the best memories, are those we never forget.

Meet the new rat Lola!!!

Named by me! Yes, ME! I got to name a pet today - at last!

How it happened was... @ocean_design on Twitter was asking for suggestions on what to call one of her son's gerbil. And one of the gerbils was already called Charlie (there he is down below) and so I thought (as a joke) to call the other one Lola, like in the children's TV show 'Charlie and Lola'. But, her son had already decided on Simon. So instead, her husband named one of their rats Lola.

So... I got to name a pet for the first time today - it feels good! A bit like a mother naming their first born child, except the kid's not mine.

I hope there's a picture of Lola soon... then I can put it on my blog!

See you all soon, Ss1!

Last night I met the SUPER Sue Perkins...

...twice!!! I met her once before the recording of 'The News Quiz' started, and also afterwards, on stage.

I first met her at the front desk of BBC Broadcasting House shortly after I arrived there. She was wearing a black puffy jacket, blue jeans, and grey and white trainers. I was at the front desk with my companion to tell them that we were on the guest list, and so as we walked in we skipped the big, long queue, and went through the door on the right hand side, and headed straight for the desk. But, the man behind the desk didn't seem to know what we were talking about. Then, from out of nowhere appeared Sue, to the right of us. And as soon as she saw me I said "Hi!" and she said "Hello!" and she said "Hi!" to my companion, and shook both of our hands. Somehow she seemed to know it was me STRAIGHT AWAY! I don't know how, she must have a sixth sense or something. Anyway, she then spoke to the man behind the desk and explained to him how our names should be on the guest list, and even wrote them down for him on a piece of paper. She then spoke to a security guard for us, telling him the same thing, and he let us through, ahead of the queue! We then had to walk through a gigantic metal detector, like the ones you find at airports, and then we were shown where to go from there.

About 30 minutes before the show started, me and my companion hung around in the cafe for a bit, where I had a little snack, and then everyone started walking out, so we followed them. They were all walking towards the Radio Theatre where they record 'The News Quiz'. And along the walls were photos in glass frames of comedians who've been on the radio, such as Sandi Toksvig, Paul Merton, Steve Punt and Hugh Dennis.

Then, as we entered the theatre, I noticed there were purple lights, either side of the seats by the stools. And all the seats were red. One man, who worked at the theatre told us that because we were guests we may have seats at the front - these seats had the guests names on them. But when I went to check, I noticed that our names weren't on them, which was a little bit disappointing. But then we were directed to go and sit up in the balcony. And when we got up there I found it really hard to find a good seat, because the view wasn't that great. But eventually me and my companion found fairly good seats, and within a good amount of time before the show started.

I thought the show seemed to go really quickly, but, like they say, 'time flies when you're having fun'. And it was great fun to watch. Especially when Sue did her accents: dutch, danish and yob-ish. She's very good at those, and I thought they were VERY convincing! I also liked how she bobbed up and down to the bits of music they played on the show - that was fun to watch! Personally, I thought she was the funniest one there, and kept coming out with funny things, which I think is a REALLY clever thing to be able to do.

After the show, me and my companion went back downstairs, and told two people who worked at the theatre that we were Sue Perkins' guests, and she wanted to see us after the show, so, after quite a bit of convincing, we got to walk up to the stage where Sue was standing. And first of all she asked us what we thought of the show, and of course I said "It was good!". I also got to chat to her for a bit, and got her to sign lots of things, plus I got two photos of/with her. And here's one of them with her holding a sign I'd made:

Aww... this picture makes me laugh and smile - it's PERFECT!

Also just before she said goodbye to me and my companion, she gave me a BIG hug, and said "Take care.", and then walked further up the stage, turned round and blew me a kiss, saying "Mwah.", and disappeared off behind the black curtain.

What a perfect evening it was. I got to meet one of my idols TWICE and she was the one to thank for all of it. I'm very happy to say I've met her, and last night events will be stuck in my memory forever.

Love to all, Ss1!

The most Su... Per... thing happened to me today...

...Sue Perkins followed ME!!! Yes, so it was only for about an hour, but it still counts!

I know, you're all in shock. So was I! Never expected that to happen! It's just, well... she had to. You see she needed some personal information from me, and that's the only way she could get it from me at the time.

So, there you go. I can now say, that I, Supersizer1, was followed by Sue Perkins on the 9th of February 2011!!! And nothing will EVER change that (well unless there was a time machine and someone stopped it from happening somehow, but that's virtually impossible) .

Be back soon, Ss1!

Yo! New blog post here...

Hello readers! I've got to talk about the biggest thing to happen this week - Giles Coren and Esther Walker had a little baby girl called Kitty! Such a lovely name, and very well suited to the both of them. I think it sounds good - "Giles, Esther and Kitty Coren". Don't you think so?

Also both of them tweeted about it, plus Sue Perkins and Victoria Coren did too, saying how 'gorgeous' she is. And yeah, I agree, she definately has got a certain charm about her. She also looks a bit like her dad, what with the dark hair, and as Esther has said, she's eating everything in sight - definately Giles! And Sue wanted to know when she could give Kitty her first vodka. It's a bit early for that, isn't it?

Anyway, I thought this was an important event in the history of Giles Coren, so that's why I'm blogging about it. If you haven't seen Kitty yet, then you can go onto Esther or Victoria's blog, via their Twitter page. Why not? Kitty won't be young forever...

See you soon... Ss1!
