...twice!!! I met her once before the recording of 'The News Quiz' started, and also afterwards, on stage.
I first met her at the front desk of BBC Broadcasting House shortly after I arrived there. She was wearing a black puffy jacket, blue jeans, and grey and white trainers. I was at the front desk with my companion to tell them that we were on the guest list, and so as we walked in we skipped the big, long queue, and went through the door on the right hand side, and headed straight for the desk. But, the man behind the desk didn't seem to know what we were talking about. Then, from out of nowhere appeared Sue, to the right of us. And as soon as she saw me I said "Hi!" and she said "Hello!" and she said "Hi!" to my companion, and shook both of our hands. Somehow she seemed to know it was me STRAIGHT AWAY! I don't know how, she must have a sixth sense or something. Anyway, she then spoke to the man behind the desk and explained to him how our names should be on the guest list, and even wrote them down for him on a piece of paper. She then spoke to a security guard for us, telling him the same thing, and he let us through, ahead of the queue! We then had to walk through a gigantic metal detector, like the ones you find at airports, and then we were shown where to go from there.
About 30 minutes before the show started, me and my companion hung around in the cafe for a bit, where I had a little snack, and then everyone started walking out, so we followed them. They were all walking towards the Radio Theatre where they record 'The News Quiz'. And along the walls were photos in glass frames of comedians who've been on the radio, such as Sandi Toksvig, Paul Merton, Steve Punt and Hugh Dennis.
Then, as we entered the theatre, I noticed there were purple lights, either side of the seats by the stools. And all the seats were red. One man, who worked at the theatre told us that because we were guests we may have seats at the front - these seats had the guests names on them. But when I went to check, I noticed that our names weren't on them, which was a little bit disappointing. But then we were directed to go and sit up in the balcony. And when we got up there I found it really hard to find a good seat, because the view wasn't that great. But eventually me and my companion found fairly good seats, and within a good amount of time before the show started.
I thought the show seemed to go really quickly, but, like they say, 'time flies when you're having fun'. And it was great fun to watch. Especially when Sue did her accents: dutch, danish and yob-ish. She's very good at those, and I thought they were VERY convincing! I also liked how she bobbed up and down to the bits of music they played on the show - that was fun to watch! Personally, I thought she was the funniest one there, and kept coming out with funny things, which I think is a REALLY clever thing to be able to do.
After the show, me and my companion went back downstairs, and told two people who worked at the theatre that we were Sue Perkins' guests, and she wanted to see us after the show, so, after quite a bit of convincing, we got to walk up to the stage where Sue was standing. And first of all she asked us what we thought of the show, and of course I said "It was good!". I also got to chat to her for a bit, and got her to sign lots of things, plus I got two photos of/with her. And here's one of them with her holding a sign I'd made:

Also just before she said goodbye to me and my companion, she gave me a BIG hug, and said "Take care.", and then walked further up the stage, turned round and blew me a kiss, saying "Mwah.", and disappeared off behind the black curtain.
What a perfect evening it was. I got to meet one of my idols TWICE and she was the one to thank for all of it. I'm very happy to say I've met her, and last night events will be stuck in my memory forever.
